Our Community

Burrillville is a rural community of 57 square miles located in the northwest corner of Rhode Island. We have some spectacular locations for outdoor recreation, a number of historic mill sites, and residents who value the sense of belonging to a caring community.

Our residents appreciate the notion of neighbors helping neighbors. Volunteers staff our fire departments, serve at community festivals, help out at local churches, and carry out many other important community services. Burrillville Village has happily tapped into this spirit of volunteerism!

Burrillville has a population of approximately 16,300, and it's estimated that 23% of our citizens are 60 years old and older. Among residents who are 65 years old or older, 26% live alone. Our pilot program that has operated for the past several years has clearly demonstrated that older adults value the services offered by our Village. Our most frequently used service has been getting rides to medical appointments and other places.
