Come Join FEMA Region 1 for a deep dive tutorial of FEMA’s OPEN training led by Regional Preparedness Liaison, Jed Fiato. This training is open to the public!
FEMA R1 Preparedness Division is hosting webinar tutorial of FEMA’s OPEN training for the public. OPEN [community.fema.gov] is a great training program for any organization or agency looking to get started in developing an emergency operations plan and to create a culture of preparedness within your organization. This training is also great for individuals and families as well, as we will be addressing preparedness actions that anyone can take to become more resilient in the face of a disaster. This webinar will highlight the 10 Preparedness Actions [community.fema.gov] to be taken by organizations and individuals and will focus on how you can provide this training for your staff, your colleagues, and your families. What we will cover:
  1. The importance of community based organizations
  2. Why organizations need to adjust the way they prepare for a changing world
  3. How to get started on developing an emergency operations plan for you, your family, or the organization you work in
  4. The 10 Preparedness Actions
