Our Community

Edgewood is a section of the city of Cranston that is bordered on the north by the Washington Park neighborhood of Providence, on the east by Narragansett Bay, on the west by Mill Street, and on the south by Pawtuxet Village. It has a population of over 9,000, and over 11,000 if Pawtuxet Village is included. Although community characteristics are not broken down by neighborhood, in the entire city of Cranston approximately 21% of the population is over the age of 60 and over 30% of those over age 65 live alone. Our boundaries are flexible, and we accept members from neighboring communities who do not have access to another village.
