Annual Thewlis Lecture "Optimism and Kindness:
Ingredients for a Long and Health Life"
The Rhode Island Geriatric Education Center, and Program in Gerontology invite you to attend this year's Thewlis lecture “Optimism and Kindness: Ingredients for a Long and Health Life”.
It takes place on Tuesday, April 7th at Edwards Auditorium, University of Rhode Island, 64 Upper College Rd, Kingston, RI 02881. Doors open at 5:30pm, followed by the lecture 6-7p.m. Join social psychologist Laura Kubzansky as she shares her unique perspective on aging and longevity research. Kubzansky’s research focuses on how personal attributes such as optimism, gratitude, kindness, and a positive outlook relate to living a long and fulfilling life. Registration is encouraged but not required to attend. This event is free and open to the public. Free parking available in Briar Lane Lot behind the Visitors Center.
